History of the Orchard House
The Orchard House was originally built by Baileys Harbor lifeboat station captain, Reinhard Hickey. He built this charming home in the early 1900’s to accommodate his growing family. Captain Hickey’s home graces an acre of old apple orchard directly across from the Blacksmith Inn on the Shore.
