The quiet side of the Door gets fall festive each September during Baileys Harbor’s annual AutumnFest, and the fest is nearly in the Blacksmith Inn’s front yard! This year’s AutumnFest is Saturday, September 23, and the weekend offers a range of exciting events to discover. The Hey Hey 5K race kicks off the event at the Door County Brewing Company, just down the road from Blacksmith Inn. This fun race draws runners of all ability levels. Discover the country roads of Baileys Harbor in your sneakers and enjoy a post-race brew. If you’re not the jogging type, grab a cup of coffee and cheer on the participants.

After rinsing off, head over to the Ridges Sanctuary for a guided hike. In the afternoon, admire some American muscle at the vintage car show and travel slightly back in time at the Pistons and Pin Ups photo shoot. Meet local artists and sample Door County fare and beverages at the vendors’ tents. On Sunday morning stroll the Baileys Harbor farmer’s market. AutumnFest highlights the best aspects of Baileys Harbor: local food, good friends, great beer and scenic exercise.
